Theoretical Study of a Closed-Cycle Evaporation System for Seawater Desalination

چکیده

This paper presents a numerical study of closed-cycle evaporation system for the desalination seawater. The couples condensing end heat pump with humidifier, where air is dehumidified in evaporator. First, mechanism action was analyzed from perspective transfer, and control equations mass transfer were investigated. In addition, mathematical model developed validated. influence several important parameters seawater entering on system’s performance under design conditions investigated numerically. parametric analysis showed that effect flow rate productivity not significant. As increases, freshwater production increases then decreases. output ratio (GOR) estimated found to be competitive other reported HDH systems.
